As much as I try and stay on top of 'everything' in the search/Google world, I somehow missed Google Authorship. Probably because I don't really contribute articles in other places. Anyway, since finding this, I've implemented it on this blog. It was relatively easy to do and the more I search for related items, the more I'm finding popular themes like Genesis have released updates to make sure the correct formatting is included to the authors can get credit.
The best place to start is to run a rich snippets test using the Google Structured Data Testing Tool. Once you correct any errors, go on over to https://plus.google.com/authorship and start the process....there's only a few steps.
